Pritzker Family Children’s Zoo is closed due to it being the location of a nesting site for a colony of state-endangered black-crowned night herons, but the Houston Family Play Treehouse is still open.
On Friday, July 11, the zoo will close at 3 p.m. for Zoo Ball. Throughout the day, Pepper Family Wildlife Center, Regenstein Center for African Apes, and Regenstein Small Mammal-Reptile House will be closed.
